Google Classroom is taking off on many campuses!

Google Classroom is Really Taking Off

on many of my campuses around town!

There is a CTE teacher at the Academy that uses it by front-loading all of the student's assignments so that they can work at their own pace at home and at school.  She adds secondary resources for the students to further their learning and to enhance the APEX curriculum.

There are two first grade teachers at different campuses (Hanby & Rugel), who only have 5 laptops and a teacher iPad,  that are using it for their students to easily get to Think Through Math and using those as preassessments for further differentiation.  The students also have links and assignments to go to the Social Studies online curriculum to read and interact with the questions. Onc teacher assigns articles from Scholastic News for the students to read independently and complete the online comprehension questions.

There are two 4th grade 1:1 iPad classes at Hanby that use Google Classroom to do much of their work through Google Docs, Forms, and Google Drawing.  It is a great place for them to put links for their students to do research and to upload ancillary materials for the students to have at their fingertips.

There is a 5th grade teacher at Range that has really taken off with Classroom quickly! She has 10 iPads and 5 laptops and not only has students take turns, but most often has them working pairs collaboratively on many assignments.  They upload their projects straight from the iPad or laptop into Google Classroom.

Here is an article that helps you know how to continue once you've created your own classroom:
